DELL Launched its next generation Inspiron laptops which has a solid package of Intel Core i3 Processor with a new glossy finishing ! The new Inspiron 14R series laptops are really great looking with its newly designed layout and configuration. DELL made lot of changes in the layout of the new Inspiron 14R series laptops starting from the style of the display fitted with the machine to the location of connectivity ports.

What is Good

Design

The new DELL Inspiron 14R looks very Modern. Its surface is made of plastic and the internal chassis is made by magnesium alloy, hence the laptop looks sturdy and weights more in the 14-inch laptops series.

Input Devices

The input devices are placed in comfortable positions. The full sized keyboard offers good tactile and response. It feels very good for normal typing speed and it was also very easy to execute keyboard shortcuts as the keys were not undersized and placed in any weired places.

The touchpad is multitouch enabled and gives us a great pleasure to work. The synaptics settings and tweak is provided to adjust the multitouch gestures and a sensitivity slider to make adjustments.

The new DELL Inspiron 14R come with lot of connectivity options. Unlike the old Inspiron series, this 14R series comes with a eSata and HDMI Ports. All the ports are postioned in perfect locations. The charged pin has been moved to the back so that we can hide the clutter of charger wire and also an USB Socket is located near the charger pin at the back, another USB Port at the right side near the DVD-RW.

The eSATA, HDMI, VGA ports and Multi Card Reader are located at the left side of the laptop. And very importantly the Audio and Mic jacks have been moved to the right side !

Google Android

Google planned to focus on India and China for its Android Growth as its developer’s community is rapidly increasing by the Developers from these countries. In a recent interview on The New York Times, Andy Rubin – Vice president for engineering at Google confirmed this.

Google is mainly concentrating on the growth of mobile applications for its Android in its Android Market to match the number of availability of applications in Apple Store. Currently android users have access to about 65,000 application where there are more than 2,00,000 applications in Apple Store which is very high when compared !

So, it seems Google’s plan is very simple. They simply planned to increase the Android phones in Asia market to attract more developers to the android community by introducing cheap Android mobile phones made by Huawei, LG and Samsung.
